1. Location Information & Background Tracking

MoRoute provides real-time journey monitoring, deviation awareness, and emergency SOS dispatch. To perform these safety functions, our mobile applications collect precise geographic location data from your device:

Foreground Location: Captured while the application is actively open on screen to display nearby road hazards, report community incidents, and search for roadside mechanics or tow operators.
Background Location: Captured only while a trip session is actively started by the user. This enables continuous corridor tracking and automated trusted contact updates even when your phone screen is turned off or you switch to another app.
Location Termination: Location tracking ceases immediately when you tap "Complete Trip" or end your active journey.

2. Trusted Contacts Sharing

When you designate trusted contacts, you explicitly grant MoRoute permission to transmit trip progression notifications and emergency alert links containing your real-time coordinates to those specified contacts via SMS, push notification, or secure web link.

3. Service Provider Disclosures

If you use our roadside assistance directory, your contact telephone number and breakdown coordinates are shared directly with the chosen roadside provider (mechanic, tow truck, or vulcanizer) solely to facilitate vehicle recovery.
